The founder

Kang Soonjoo

“I want tradition to be something you can hold, not something you look at behind glass.”

Kang Soonjoo founded SULSUL in Seongsu-dong, Seoul Forest, and still teaches every workshop herself. She has spent years translating a centuries-old craft into lessons that a complete beginner can finish in an afternoon — and into objects people actually wear.
